Who is Better? Survivalists or Preppers?
Numbers show that people today are buying supplies and want to adopt the lifestyle of being self-reliant. Having extra supplies was considered absolutely normal a long time ago. Having livestock and garden at your home is not just a hobby, it was a lifestyle. Half of all Americans have supplies of food that is not enough for them to survive for more than two days, survey says. People nowadays, and mostly all of them, do not have emergency supplies for emergency purposes, not even a first aid kit for safety precautions. Preppers are people who do not want to become victims of an emergency and are always prepared for any worst case scenario.
These people are always prepped and concerned about the things that can possibly happen like natural disasters, typhoon, drought, tsunamis and they are also concerned about man-made disasters like power failures, wars, and government shutdowns. These so called preppers can be equally distinguished with people that have survived and live through the Great Depression in the late 1930s which people were trying to be prepared for anything that can happen. They keep food supplies that can help them survive for a long time and even extend that a couple of more months if necessary.
People in your neighborhood that have the preppers lifestyle and attitude are the most resourceful persons out there. It is a very good idea to have preppers as your neighbors because they can be of help to you if you are not the type of person who is prepared in case anything bad happens. Prepper who are called and termed as survivalists do not like that. Preppers tend to go the extra mile just to pass up the term survivalist because that is not who they are.
The word prepping is being used as a new word today but in truth is just a very old lifestyle and way of life. Being prepared always is a must and is very important for survivalists and preppers alike. By this time, it is heightened to a whole new level, to the brink of civilizations collapse. Survivalists are prepared for anything and will stock up food and equipment including ammunition and guns that can protect them just in case, they also have backup plans in case anything bad happens or their current plans backfire and lastly will usually stay away from areas which are populated if society falls.
One of the most important things that comes to the minds of survivalists is that they will have to protect their supplies and families from potential threats that come their way. An average prepper is generally not on the same level as survivalists but they also stockpile guns and learn how to defend themselves properly.
